Welcome to the North Chicago Housing Authority. This website is designed to introduce you to the housing authority and the services we provide families and elderly/disabled individuals throughout our community.
Established in 1976, the North Chicago Housing Authority will continue to show determination in meeting the needs of our community. Our Public Housing program currently manages two low-income high-rise buildings that consist of 150 apartments for elderly/disabled families.
Our Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program administers 471 vouchers. We also operate three other programs in collaboration with other agencies within the community. These programs consist of Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH), Family Unification Program (FUP), and the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS), program.
We strive to be on the cutting edge for small housing authorities nationwide. We are committed to assisting low and moderate-income families with affordable housing opportunities in vibrant neighborhoods as they strive to achieve self-sufficiency and improve the quality of their lives.
