NOTICE OF HCV WAITLIST OPENING
June 16, 2023
The North Chicago Housing Authority’s, Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) waiting list will open Friday, June 16, 2023, at 8:00a.m., and remain open until 400 Applicants have been accepted.
All applications for Housing Choice Voucher Program must be submitted online at https://northchicagohousing.housingmanager.com
The HCV waiting list is NOT first-come, first-served. The waiting list is ordered and ranked by preference points which the family must verify.

Once the pre-application has been submitted, all changes and/or updates to family information on the pre-application must be submitted in writing to the North Chicago Housing Authority. Failure to do so may result in termination of the pre-application.
To qualify, applicants must be income eligible (annual income must not exceed 50% of Area Median Income) and annual household income must not exceed:
- 1 Person: $38,650
- 2 Persons: $44,150
- 3 Persons: $49,650
- 4 Persons: $55,150
- 5 Persons: $59,600
- 6 Persons: $64,000
- 7 Persons: $68,400
- 8 Persons: $72,800

Our Public Housing program currently manages two low-income mid-rise buildings that consist of 150 apartments for income eligible families.
Our Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program administers 471 vouchers in partnership with the Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH), Family Unification Program (FUP), and the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program.
