This web site is designed to introduce you to the housing authority and the services we provide families and elderly/disabled individuals throughout our community. Established in 1976, the North Chicago Housing Authority has shown and will continue to show determination in meeting the needs of our community.
Our Public Housing program currently manages two low-income high-rise buildings that consist of 150 apartments for elderly/disabled families.
Our Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program administers 471 vouchers. We also operate three other programs in collaboration with other agencies within the community. Those programs consist of Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH), Family Unification Program (FUP), and the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS), program.
